LCJ amicus brief in Zurbriggen v. Twin Hill Acquisition, Inc., US Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit
LCJ’s amicus brief urges the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit to uphold a district court decision that properly excluded a plaintiff’s experts pursuant to amended Federal Rule of Evidence 702. The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in Zurbriggen v. Twin Hill Acquisition, Inc., properly exercised its gatekeeping function and applied the admissibility standard, as clarified by amended FRE 702. The brief urges the Seventh Circuit to use this decision to issue corrective guidance to district courts and Circuit litigants on the proper application of amended FRE 702. LCJ’s amicus brief was prepared by counsel of record Misha Tseytlin, and Kevin LeRoy, Carson Cox, and Dylan DeWitt, of Troutman Pepper Locke LLP. Please click here to read the brief.
