The New Jersey Supreme Court is considering an amendment bringing the state’s expert evidence admissibility standard into line with the federal rule, following a 16-7 decision by a divided state Rules of Evidence Committee to reject the rule change. A New Jersey business coalition, led by the New Jersey Civil Justice Institute, filed a comment with the state Supreme Court in support of a rule amendment.
