LCJ Fall 2025 Meeting Returns to NYC

We are heading to the Big Apple for LCJ’s Fall Membership Meeting, on December 3–5, at the Westin Times Square in New York City. Expect a fast-paced program which looks at the most pressing litigation issues and civil rules developments.

We are pleased to welcome U.S. District Court Judge Jesse Furman, Chair of the Advisory Committee on Evidence Rules, and Fordham Law Professor Dan Capra, the Advisory Committee’s Reporter, for an “open mic” discussion of recently proposed Rule of Evidence 707, which would address the admissibility of machine generated evidence, including AI generated evidence.

Adam Ciongoli, Chief Legal and Policy Officer at Fox Corporation, Jon Palmer, Corporate Vice President and Chief Legal Officer at Microsoft, and Kathryn Ruemmler, Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel at Goldman Sachs Group, will join us for a conversation about their top concerns and the road ahead. These corporate leaders will share their insights on legal trends and emerging issues.

Under the leadership of Program Chairs Bob Christie (Baker Sterchi) and Cynthia Randall (Microsoft), this year’s program focuses on tackling pressing and thought-provoking issues in complex litigation. Highlights include exploration of emerging privilege issues, discussion of class action superiority trends and solutions, consideration of evolving juror attitudes and communication innovations that meet the moment, and a presentation on new judicial initiatives and the opportunity for the defense bar to engage in building public trust in the courts. We also plan to explore innovative and wide-ranging new rule proposals through our “Shark Tank” event.

LCJ members received registration links on September 23. Members should register and book a hotel room promptly —the meeting and the LCJ room block both sell out quickly. Please contact LCJ staff if you need registration links re-sent.
